HiSET Test Registration

In the State of Indiana, the High School Equivalency Exam (HSE) is the HiSET test. This test has taken the place of the GED and TASC tests.
The test has 5 subtests (Reading, Science, Social Studies, Math and Writing). Each subtest has multiple choice questions and the Writing has both multiple choice questions and an essay.

All HiSET tests at C9 are in the evening from 4:45pm to 9pm. You may schedule 1 to 3 subtests in an evening. It will take at least 2 evenings to complete the Test. You may chose to spread the test out. You select the dates for your tests from the choices at the end of this page.
 
You must be 18 or older or provide the required Under 18 paperwork to the Central Nine Office.
You must have an ID to take the HiSET Exam. An acceptable ID MUST have a photo and can be any of the following:
  • Government-issued driver’s license or temporary license
  • State ID card (including those issued by motor vehicle agencies)
  • National ID card
  • Military ID card
  • Passport

Step 2: Complete The HiSET HSE Test Registration Form

Complete the HiSet HSE Test Registration Form below at least two business days before the test date.

Step 3: Finish Your Registration

Finish the registration by calling or visiting the Central Nine Office to pay and select dates. Dates are subject to change.
